A Major Renovation in Milford, Auckland

This project was a major renovation of a character filled 1914 transitional villa, one that hadn’t been updated for decades. Greg Jones from Jones Architects was commissioned to complete the detailed design plans, retaining the character of the home, while at the same time creating contemporary open living spaces maximizing the flow to the outdoors.

Jolie and Gareth were clear on their desire to create a home that would accommodate their family as Sam and Emma approached their teenage years, while creating open entertaining spaces.

Lorraine O’Rourke from Trinity worked closely with Jolie bringing that vision to life. The scope of work provided by Trinity included complete hard fit out selections, detailed joinery designs for the kitchen, scullery, bathrooms and built in cabinetry, paint colours, lighting selection, soft furnishings and furniture.

Lorraine was excellent to work with, her passion for the project, design experience and practical approach becoming invaluable.  She was able to bring colours, fabrics and furnishings together to create complete rooms that worked beautifully together.

Lorraine helped us create a family home that is durable enough to accommodate our two children, their cousins and a golden retriever, at the same time as incorporating striking design features like the marble splash back in the open plan living area.

We couldn’t be happier with our new home and would gladly work with Trinity again.
