New House in Bayswater, Auckland

We were commissioned to help Karen and Ray with the selection of all interior finishes including colours, wallpapers, bathroom fittings, kitchen finishes and flooring. Trinity also worked with the client to select and source furniture and accessories to finish off this beautiful Shanahan Architects' designed home.

‘We started building our dream home in September 2008. I thought I had this project in hand and knew exactly what I wanted after having to spend over two years in council awaiting our building consent. By February I realised I was totally out of my depth and the builders were asking for my plumbing fittings which I still couldn't decide on.

I was given the name of Trinity Interior Design by a mutual friend and met with Trinity to go through a strategy of what I required. They were given the daunting task of fitting out three bathrooms, a powder room and laundry within two days. This did not faze them in the slightest; they gave 100% commitment to the project; were incredibly motivated and made the job seem so effortless. They were direct, really listened to what we wanted, immediately grasped our taste then got on with the job.

Once that crisis was over they went on to advise for the rest of our house. Trinity gave me the confidence to go outside my comfort zone and to personalise our house, not just stick to the safe option. I have huge confidence in their incredible eye for colour and texture and enormous talent of being able to pull every room together. The wallpapers that I would never have dared are now my absolute favourites.

This project went from being incredibly stressful to fun with the wonderful guiding hand of Trinity and the huge amount of behind the scenes support and communication that they provide. Nothing was too much trouble; everything was ordered and arrived on time and everything was followed up on.

We have just moved into our new home, it has transformed from a very well designed house to a stunningly beautiful home that we could not have pulled off without everyone at Trinity Interior Design.’
